Kilsyth is surrounded by a wealth of Flora and Fauna within a Green Belt which includes:-

Kilsyth Hills to the North
Carron Valley to the North
Colzium House and Estate to the East
River Kelvin to the South
Kelvin Valley to the South
Barr Hill & Croy Hill to the South
The Antonine Wall, designated as a World Heritage Site
The second “Walkers are Welcome” town in Scotland, Kilsyth boasts a network of well marked countryside pathways for walkers, horse riders and cyclists, extending to thefour surrounding villages (Banton, Croy, Twechar, Queenzieburn) and connecting to longer distance routes such as the West Highland Way.
Rock climbing, sailing and angling can also be enjoyed around the district.

By First Bus from Stirling(no.24); Falkirk (no.27) or Glasgow (nos 24 or 27)
By rail from Edinburgh or Glasgow to Croy Station ( with connecting shuttle bus service to Kilsyth).
